James Ross

As the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technical Officer, James Ross joins PX Solutions responsible for leading our technology and business operations teams, guiding us through our transformational journey in terms of our people, our process, tools and the technologies we use.

James has an extensive background in leading technical organizations across multiple industries. Most recently, he was the Vice-President of Information Technology & Solutions with a Utilities services provider, where he led a digital transformation program which included the re-design and re-implementation of many legacy systems, the build of new data centers as well as the introduction of a Cyber Security program.

James also led a successful $1Billion divestiture at the start of Covid. This divestiture included 13 different technical workstreams and the renegotiation of 60+ contracts and supplier agreements. James has also led diverse Global delivery and operational teams at organizations such as Wipro Ltd, De Beers Group of Companies, Honeywell International and Nortel Networks.

With De Beers, James and his team won an Enterprise Architectural award from ICMG International for the Best Enterprise Architecture – Infrastructure design 2017. This was awarded for the design and implementation of the Gahcho Kue mine, the newest diamond mine in the world located 200+ KM’s north-east of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada.

James has extensive experience in the Utilities, Mining, IT services and manufacturing industries. He has an Electronics background and is an ITIL and Six Sigma Green belt practitioner.
